Activities at Mboko Camp
Mboko Camp is the home of adventure. The activities here are a combination of walking, boating and kayaking through some of the Congo Basin’s most beautiful habitats. Short drives may be required between experiences.
At Mboko Camp, restorative massages are available on request to soothe tired muscles from days of adventure. Pampering is provided by ladies from our local community who are part of our development programme. They continue to receive training from professionals locally and in Brazzaville and provide the perfect end to a journey before a flight back to Brazzaville.
With over 400 bird species in the Congo Basin, birders come here to find paradise. Odzala offers huge flocks of African Green Pigeons and African Grey Parrots as well as the elusive Great Blue Turaco and Giant Kingfisher, amidst a host of other species. At Sangha, the rare Picathartes can be found (best in October while breeding), as well as various eagles, nightjars, sunbirds and many, MANY more.
Book a private guide for the duration of your stay and explore the ecosystem at your leisure or pursue a personal passion with our specialists in birding, photography, mammals, flora, culture and various activities. Go deeper in your understanding with a personal trusted and knowledgeable field guide at your side (additional costs apply).
